What is Bonjela Soothing Teething Gel?
Bonjela Soothing Teething Gel is a calming gel that helps to ease your baby’s sore gums when they’re teething. It gets to work quickly, easing their irritation and making them more comfortable. This gel is free from artificial colour, flavours, and sweeteners, and does not contain artificial sugar, alcohol, local anaesthetics, or parabens, ideal for those sensitive little gums.
 
What happens when my child is teething?
Babies usually start teething when they’re around 5 months old, although it can happen sooner or later than this. When they’re teething, it means that their first teeth are starting to push into their mouth through their gums, which can be a painful or uncomfortable process for baby. If your little one is teething, you may notice the following symptoms:
Red or sore gums
One flushed cheek
They are rubbing their ear
They are dribbling more than they usually would
They want to gnaw or chew on things more than they usually would
They’re more fussy or fretful than usual

This fast-acting formula is perfect for little ones aged 6 months and over, who are suffering with irritated gums as they go through the teething process.
 
Can I use this product if my child is taking other medication?
If your child is taking any medication, you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product. Some products can interact when used together, making your medication less effective or causing unwanted side effects, but a medical professional can help you to avoid this.
 
How to use Bonjela Soothing Teething Gel
Before using this product, make sure you read the patient information leaflet carefully, and follow their instructions. Wash your hands before use. Squeeze a small amount of Bonjela Soothing Teething Gel onto your little finger and apply to the sore area of your baby’s gums. Gently massage the gel into the affected area. Do this 3 – 5 times a day, preferably after meal times and before sleeping. Remember to replace the cap onto the tube after use.
 
When should this product not be used?
Bonjela Soothing Teething Gel is not suitable for use in children who are younger than 6 months old. Do not give this product to your child if they are allergic to any of the listed ingredients. Do not use more than the recommended daily dose, as stated in the patient information leaflet or as advised by a medical professional.
 
Does this product have any side effects?
There is a possibility that your child may experience side effects when using this product, including symptoms caused by an allergic reaction. If your child experiences any side effects or irritation while using this product, stop use and speak to your doctor, dentist, or pharmacist for advice.
 
How to store this gel
Store in a cool, dry place which is out of direct sunlight and below 25 degrees C. Do not use if the expiry date printed on the original packaging has passed. Once opened, use within 30 days. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
